Alex Gligor

Role: Finishing Team Leader.

Length of service: 9 years.

Background: Originally from Romania, I came to England in 2010 and ran a valeting franchise before coming to Whitby Morrison. 

Values I share with Whitby Morrison: Making sure everything is the best quality and to the highest standard. I want every van to be better than the last one, and I value customer service and trust.

If I could snap my fingers and become an expert in something, it would it be: F1 driving. 

One thing most people don’t know about me: I love gardening, I find it very relaxing.

When I was kid, I wanted to grow up to be: A lorry driver.

In a movie about my life, the actor playing me would be: Jason Statham.

At the weekend, you’re most likely to find me: Spending time with my family. I enjoy barbecues and watching football and F1. 

Dog person or cat person? Dog.

My favourite sport to watch and team I support is: Football / Manchester City and Crewe Alexandra.

The best things about my job are: I love to see the finishing product, knowing everything is just as it should be.

My favourite film is: The Transporter / Fast and Furious

My favourite food is? A mixed grill, with absolutely everything. Also a Sunday roast. Sometimes at the same time.

I will never be seen without: A belt.

Whitby Morrison is like:  The Burj Kalifa because it stands head and shoulders above the rest.
