The Mondial Lusso Demonstrator, accompanied by Antonio and Ian, has once again been out on its’ travels – this time visiting Mobilers in the South of England.
The trip began with a very early start from Nottingham, heading in the direction of Hampshire. First stop was to see Sam and Anna Marucci – real stalwarts of the ice cream industry. Their son Riccardo was there too having joined the business and taken over his mum’s round.
From there they headed over to see Margaret and Nunzio Maresca – Margaret still drives her original Whitby G-Reg Transit to this day!
A quick visit to the very impressive setup at New Forest Ice Cream and the two of them were soon sailing the short distance to the Isle of Wight. On arrival there was no time for sightseeing (they tell me) and they were soon with Mobiler Mick Tracey.
The journey around the island continued the following morning when they took the Mondial Lusso to Julie and Fred Turner. With Julie and Fred having travelled to Nantwich previously, it was a nice opportunity to repay the courtesy by visiting them.
Antonio and Ian continued on to Cowes where they spent time with Gary Hall of the Plaza Ices – visiting both his pitch and his impressive parlour.
It was then time to head back to the mainland in the direction of the Whitby Morrison factory, but not before stopping off to spend a little time with Mobiler Chris Noviello, who as always offered a very warm welcome.
Thank you to everyone who spent time with Antonio and Ian, it is hugely appreciated by everyone here at Whitby Morrison. Without such support these road trips would just not be possible.
